The Mobile World Congress 2026 has begun, and the floor is packed with interesting new smartphones, laptops, AI devices, and a lot more. While everyone is talking about all the major announcements. I have decided to list down four most “weird” gadgets from MWC 2026 that you might have missed.
Lenovo ThinkBook Modular AI PC Concept

Lenovo’s ThinkBook Modular AI PC Concept stood out because of its hardware flexibility. The concept features dual 14-inch 4K OLED touchscreens that can be configured as a dual-screen setup. The keyboard and trackpad connect wirelessly over Bluetooth.
However, the more unusual feature is its interchangeable plug-and-play ports. Users can swap between USB-C, USB-A, and HDMI modules depending on their needs. This approach allows physical customization of connectivity without adapters.
Tecno Modular Magnetic Phone Concept

Modular phones are not that cool, they have failed in the past. But Tecno seems to have a new approach at MWC 2026. The company showcased its Modular Magnetic Phone Concept, which uses what it calls “modular magnetic interconnection technology.”
This system allows users to attach and swap hardware modules. Demonstrated add-ons included an extended battery pack, a telephoto lens module, gaming controls, and an action camera unit.
The focus here is on a physical upgrades instead of a yearly device replacements. Obvisouly there is no confirmation of a commercial launch of this device. But it does indicate that modular hardware is still being explored.
Lenovo Legion Go Fold Concept

Lenovo also introduced the Legion Go Fold Concept, a Windows-based handheld gaming device built around an 11.6-inch POLED display. The screen can fold in half, reducing it to a more compact device with a 7.7-inch display when closed.
The controllers can be removed, similar to detachable game controllers. The folding screen can also be attached to a folio-style case that includes a keyboard, trackpad, and stand. This setup effectively turns the device into a small laptop.
HONOR Robot Phone Camera Arm

Along with its latest foldable smartphones HONOR also showcased its robotic camera arm integrated into a phone concept. While it is technically attached to a smartphone body, the standout feature is the robotic camera mechanism itself.
It uses AI-powered tracking to follow the subjects automatically. Plus the camera module can physically move and adjust angles. This allows hands-free shooting and dynamic framing without external gimbals.
