Samsung’s Thinnest Galaxy Book Yet Is Here

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Book6 series in India. The lineup includes three models Galaxy Book6, Galaxy Book6 Pro, and Galaxy Book6 Ultra and starts at Rs 1,27,990.

All three are powered by Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 processors, built on the Intel 18A node, which Samsung says delivers over 60% faster CPU performance compared to previous generations. The chips come with an integrated NPU capable of handling up to 50 TOPS for on-device AI tasks like image cleanup, instant translation, and intelligent search.

The top-end Galaxy Book6 Ultra packs an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR7 memory, making it the most capable option in the lineup for creative professionals and gamers. It features a 16-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and a 30Hz–120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

Battery life is a big talking point here. The Ultra offers up to 30 hours of video playback, five hours more than its predecessor, and supports 100W charging that gets you to 63% in just 30 minutes.

On the audio side, it has six Dolby Atmos speakers: four force-canceling woofers and two up-firing tweeters.

The Ultra measures 15.4mm thin, weighs 1.79kg, and is 6% thinner than the Galaxy Book4 Ultra. It’s priced starting at Rs 2,42,990.

Available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, the Galaxy Book6 Pro runs on Intel Core Ultra X7/7/5 chips and comes with either 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5X RAM. It also features a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Corning Gorilla Glass and Dolby Atmos speaker output.

The 14-inch model is just 11.6mm thin and weighs 1.24kg, making it the most portable in the series. The 16-inch version comes in at 11.9mm. Both support 65W USB-C charging. Starting price is Rs 1,78,990.

The standard Galaxy Book6 comes in 14-inch and 16-inch variants with an IPS panel (not AMOLED), capped at 350 nits brightness. It uses Intel Core Ultra 7/5 chips with up to 49 TOPS NPU performance slightly lower than the Pro and Ultra models.

The base model supports 45W charging and skips the haptic trackpad in favor of a traditional click pad. Connectivity is also stepped down to Wi-Fi 6E instead of Wi-Fi 7. It starts at Rs 1,27,990.

Galaxy AI and Software Features

All models run Windows 11 Home and are certified as Copilot+ PCs. Samsung’s Galaxy AI features include AI Select (text translation), AI Cut Out (background removal), Note Assist, and Intelligent Search. There’s also Link to Windows for mirroring phone notifications, and Multi Control that lets a single mouse and keyboard work across multiple Galaxy devices.
