Meta has launched a new lineup of Ray-Ban smart glasses under the Ray-Ban Meta Optics Styles range. The company says the new models are built for everyday use, with a focus on better fit, wider prescription compatibility, and expanded AI capabilities. Meta has already sold millions of units through its ongoing partnership with EssilorLuxottica.
New Frame Designs and Comfort Upgrades
The Ray-Ban Meta Optics Styles lineup introduces two new frame designs Blayzer Optics and Scriber Optics. Blayzer Optics has a rectangular shape and comes in Standard and Large sizes, while Scriber Optics features a rounded look.

Meta says these are its most comfortable smart glasses to date. The new frames include overextension hinges, adjustable temple tips, and interchangeable nose pads, changes aimed at improving fit across different face shapes and enabling extended daily wear. The glasses support a wide range of prescriptions and are available in Matte Black, Transparent Black, Transparent Ice Grey, and Stone Beige.
Pre-orders are open in the US starting today, with retail availability from April 14. Pricing starts at $499.
More Lens Options for Ray-Ban and Oakley Meta Glasses
Meta is also expanding lens and color choices across its existing smart glasses lineup, including Oakley Meta variants. New additions include Prizm Dark Golf lenses and Transitions lenses that automatically adapt to light conditions. Limited-edition seasonal colors are being introduced for existing Ray-Ban Meta styles like Wayfarer and Headliner.
New AI Features
Meta AI is getting new capabilities across the glasses ecosystem. An upcoming nutrition tracking feature will let users log meals through voice commands or photos, with the AI extracting nutritional details and maintaining a personalized food log.
Meta is also testing WhatsApp message summaries, allowing users to ask for quick updates or specific details from conversations. The company says these features are processed on-device with end-to-end encryption.
Display Features
For display-equipped models, Meta is adding support for Instagram Reels, Spotify playlists, and games. New widgets for weather, reminders, stocks, and calendar events are also being introduced, along with integration with Google Calendar and Outlook.
Meta is also working on a display recording feature that captures both what the user sees and the lens interface output in a single video.
Expansion to New Markets and 20-Language Live Translation
Meta confirmed that the glasses will reach new markets including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. The company’s live translation feature will expand to 20 languages by summer, adding Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic.
This launch signals that Meta is no longer treating smart glasses as an experiment. The emphasis on prescription support, comfort, and daily-use AI features suggests the company is targeting users who would otherwise stick to traditional eyewear. Continued investment in hands-free AI also points to a broader bet on wearables as an alternative to smartphone-dependent interactions.
